Serving the New York City Transit Community
About Us
The Hispanic Transit Society 2 Inc. is a community-based organization dedicated to supporting the members of the New York City Transit system, particularly those working under the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority). Founded in 1967 with the purpose of providing a network of support, our organization serves to assist Hispanic transit employees, their families, and the broader transit community in times of need.
Our mission is rooted in service, compassion, and advocacy. Whether it’s through financial assistance during personal crises, career development opportunities, or initiatives that improve the quality of life for our members, the Hispanic Transit Society 2 Inc. is here to lend a hand. We also actively engage in community outreach, working with local organizations to better the neighborhoods we serve and promote solidarity among our members.
We believe in fostering a strong, united, and supportive environment for all transit workers, and are committed to the well-being and professional growth of our members. As an organization, we continue to advocate for fair treatment, better working conditions, and resources that promote both personal and collective advancement.
Our Core Values:
- Community Support: Assisting members during difficult times and offering programs that enrich their lives.
- Empowerment: Providing opportunities for career advancement and personal development.
- Solidarity: Building a unified network of transit workers who stand together for the common good.
- Advocacy: Championing the rights and interests of Hispanic transit employees across the MTA system.
